A Semi Welded Plate Heat Exchanger is a heat transfer device that uses plates and gaskets to transfer heat betweentwo fluids. The semi-welded design is where the plate pack is partially welded to the frame, which strengthens the plate pack and helps prevent leakage. The semi-welded plate design is particularly valuable when dealing with fluidsthat are corrosive or when dealing with fluids that require a high-pressure drop.
